The Gore Range at twilight
The best Scuba Diving I have ever enjoyed was during my recent two weeks at Isla Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico. October 24-Nov. 8th, 2009. Hernan Bacelis certified me as Open Water Diver during Oct. 2005. He owns and operates "The Reef" dive shop. All 60 of my previous Scuba Dives have been in these waters. This trip, something wonderful and unforeseen occurred. Every dive became more natural, as Queen Angelfish and Hawksbill Turtles seemingly waited in turn, as I drifted towards them, for their session to fine tune my buoyancy and directional control through effortless, slow and subtle breathe control, allowing the current of the sea to gently carry me. I soared over Coral heads, around them and through placid swim-through passages in the reef. Breakthroughs in my Scuba Diving abilities, inner peace from being in the moment, along with heightened awareness of the relationship between myself and my surroundings. The Reef itself became the image and voice of the Earth. Knowledge of our inseparable unity with nature was instantaneous.
